Senegal Zebrabar Camping / Bungalows "Zebrabar. A must for overlanders. 16kms from St Louis. Run by a Swiss couple to a high standard. Breakfast and 3 course evening meals available. Clean toilets and hot showers. Swimming, surfing & kayaking. A great place to chill out."

Senegal Baobab II Ismaila Camsite / Bungalows Baobab II Ismaila campsite with basic facilities but very friendly and cheap. You can camp or take a bungalow! There is a restaurant as well.
The Gambia Sukuta Camping / Bungalows Camping Sukuta. A well organized campsite with some bungalows run by a German couple Joe & Claudia. Very clean and pleasant. Campers can use a kitchen area to prepare their own food or use the camps BBQ. There is a small restaurant on site. Close to the beach and local market. N13°25.162 W016°42.947

The Gambia Georgetown Auberge with basic camping facilities Baobolo camp. Nothing special but an okay place. Georgetown has nothing much to offer.
Senegal Wassadou 5 Star camping / hotel "Wassadou Campment. Excellent site. Mainly bungalows but you can camp, however you must take either lunch or dinner on site if you camp. Situated on the side of the Gambia River you can see hippos, crocs and an amazing variety of birds. This site is said to be much better than the National Park." N13°20.944 W013°22.673

Mali Chutes du Gouina Chutes du Gouina "Bushcamp next to waterfalls. Superb spot, tranquil and quite, apart from the falls."

Mali Bamako Campsite "Campment Djoliba, Bamako. Okay place but poor facilities. Quite expensive but just across the river from the Burkina Faso embassy."
Mali Near Segou Bushcamp "Near Segou. Another peaceful spot, slept well after a great BBQ."

Mali Tombouctou Hotel Hotel Azelei. We took a room in the hotel as there are no proper campsites in Tombouctou.

Burkina Faso Sebou Camsite / Bungalows Camping Touristique Sebou. Beautiful location on the side of a lake where you can see crocodiles up close (5m) Basic facilities but made up for by the location.
Burkina Faso Bobo Diolasso Campsite with small basic rooms Casa Africa camping. A small but very pleasant camsite. Cold showers but okay. The camp has a bar and a small restaurant serving very good food.
Burkina Faso Nasso Bushcamp Wildcamp by the river. Ideal spot for camping ans swimming. Quite & relaxing. A few local visitors but no hassle.
Mali Bamako Campsite Camping Chez
Mauritania Tergit Camsite with Berber tents & a couple of bungalows. "Auberge Caravanes. Nice campsite with a few rooms. Very clean and friendly, serves great food. Run by a Frenchman, Sebastian."
