Alan: I was born and brought up in London, but have spent most of my life in south-east England. Before becoming involved in the tourist industry I worked in sales and marketing. I have travelled extensively in Europe - backpacking, walking, cycling and motorcycle touring as well as driving a variety of vehicles, from Volkswagen campervans to 4x4s. In 1992 I cycled across America from Los Angeles to Houston and have driven the length and breath of Morocco in Land Rovers.
Nicole: Was born in Kenya, at the age of 18 she moved to London with her family where she spent three years working as a model and studying to become a graphic artist before moving permanently to Italy. She considers herself Italian now as she has spent longer in Italy than anywhere else. Nicole has a talent for languages and speaks English, Italian, French, Spanish, Swahili and a little Arabic! When Nicole has some free time there is nothing she enjoys more than watercolour painting and gardening.
